Scorpion

The Scorpion can be found in many areas of town. However some areas are much worse than others and the population of these omnious insects continue to grow.

They do not like to be inside of your home. They usually just happen to wander in while hunting for food. There favorite place to live is inside of block fences, wood piles, under rock, and in the cracks and crevices around your home. If you have seen scorpions in your home it is a good idea to get a black light and search in and around your home to see where they are living. When you shine the black light on them they glow a florescent green. Although painful the sting from a scorpion has not proved to be fatal to anyone in thirty years. Back To Top

Black Widow

The Black Widow spider feared by many, can and does inflict a painful bite to many unsuspecting victims each year. Usually found in dark areas, wood piles, stored boxes and

shoes. Like with all spiders, the best control is to keep areas, like garages and storage sheds as neat and clean as possible. Back To Top

Brown Recluse

The Brown Recluse spider. Doesn't live in Arizona. It is often confused with the brown fiddle back house spider. Like it's name it is very reclusive and generally stays hidden in dark

places, where it won't be disturbed. Control methods can be as simple as keeping garages and storage areas neat and clean. Using a shop vac or leaf blower can keep these and other spiders under control. Back To Top

Carpenter Ant

The Carpenter Ant can be found in homes, generally located near an outside entry point, like a doorway or window frame. They are usually associated with old or dyeing trees.

They gain entry to the home by climbing up trees and shrubs that are next to the home. To control this insect, keep trees and shrubs trimmed and away from your home. Keep wood piles off the ground and away from the house. If they are present in the home, consult a professional pest control technician. Back To Top

Fire Ant

The Fire Ant is found throughout the southwest. This ant can be found nesting in your yard, it is very aggressive when the nest is disturbed. The ants come out and attack whomever or whatever

they can find, inflicting a painful bite. The use of ant bait is very effective in controlling this and many other species of ant. Back To Top

Mosquito

The Mosquito is found everywhere. This insect does carry a variety of disease's. The best way to control mosquito's around your home is to make sure you don't have any standing water

around your home. Water problems around your house could be caused by over watering grass and plants, broken sprinklers. Also the air conditioner condensation runoff can cause a standing water problem. Back To Top

American Roach

The American Roach lives out doors, but when populations get out of hand they will be seen indoors. They can walk, run or fly into your house. These large and annoying pest's live on

dead organic material, like leaves and rotting fruit. So keep that stuff picked up. They also like to live under railroad ties and palm tree roots. Although sprays are effective a good roach bait has better results. Back To Top
